ABOUT ABOUT

A SPECIAL BENEFIT EVENT MAY 21 & 22 ONLY!

Presented by Theatre Palisades and The Pacific Palisades Task Force on Homelessness

Written and Directed by Leda Siskind

Produced by Nina Kidd and Rodney Carrington

Under an LA freeway, Elbee, an out-of-work actress, stumbles from her tent. Waking here is tough enough, but today Elbee has an uninvited visitor. A young social worker, Gwen, intends to interview her, maybe pressure her to come away. Elbee fights back. As the two women engage, Elbee and Gwen discover that both feel alone. They have been isolated by lies. But can the truth heal them?

After the performance we present a panel discussion with on-the-ground members from our Pacific Palisades' 2016 homeless outreach team (from Ocean Park Community Center) and Chrysalis, which provides jobs for people in recovery. Chrysalis and OPCC are both at work in the Palisades. Come with questions. They are here to welcome us into the conversation.

Following the discussion, you are invited to a catered reception in Theatre Palisades' Green Room.

Proceeds benefit Ocean Park Community Center / Pacific Palisades Task Force on Homelessness.
